Ilkay Kopan is a film director, based in commercials. He was born in 1983 and lives in Istanbul, Turkey.

He started working as a production assistant in Alice BBDO in 2003. Between ’04 and ’06 as he continued working as a TV Producer, between the years of ’07 and ’08 he was the production department’s team leader. In the break he gave himself for six months he shot two short documentaries. In the same time period he was the Production Coordinator in several film festivals such as !f Istanbul, Cinema-History Meeting and Comedy Film Festival. He wanted to continue as a film director so he has left his job at Alice BBDO in ’08. He joined DEPOfilm.

He already shot over than 300 commercials for some brands such as Disney+, Nike, Coca-Cola, Fanta, ING Bank, Vodafone, Fiat, Dominos, Turkcell, Samsung, Avea, Eti, Garanti Bank, Vestel, Arçelik etc. He's still working with DEPOfilm Production Company and looking forward to underline best ideas.
